Shooting Brake or Woody - Riley RM - rare classic car
We currently have two Woodys in the garage, one which is well know to most people and one far less familiar. We have a Morris Traveller in the process of having its woodwork replaced, as well as quite a bit of metalwork. But also a far rarer car; the Riley RM Shooting Brake or Woody.

Runs like a champ! 95 year old Austin 7 Chummy. Bonafide ripper!
Переглядів 1,7 тис.2 роки тому
Every so often a car arrives that everyone at Wight Classics would happily take home. This 1927 Austin 7 wears its 95 years so well. Amazing period details; a charming car. Charlie shows you around the car and starts her up. The engine is so much better than you'd think from looking under the bonnet.

Britannia lift in Cowes
Переглядів 8 тис.12 років тому
A replica of the HMY Britannia arrived in Cowes during February and now needs lifting ashore to complete its construction at Venture Quays. A crane brought in to do the job turned out not to be big enough. It was rated to lift up to 125 tons and the hull turned out to weigh 138 tons. After a short discussion she was lowered back into the water. Tim Addison

Thats how we do it
we used to sail (5.5 m cobra) in cornwall uk, rules were power gives way to sail BUT all give way to VERY BIG.... also the age old seaman phrase..... dont go being a twat
NOW YOU HAVE BOUGHT IT WHAT THE HELL DO YOU DO WITH IT ?.what a waste of hard earned money go have a couple holidays.
Blimey, he had tp pay 100K in court costs. Silly man.
What happened to MOB @23seconds , he disappeared, ? …
MOB swept down the starboard side, avoided the prop and wash, then the tug avoided him. Picked up relatively unharmed and probably very much ashamed to have been crew to idiot boy alpha male skipper….
New cap and rotor id say
WAFI - absolute disgrace.
The tanker should have seen that a race was underway and steered clear of the course. Unbelievable.
typical blow boater he had the right of way but he didnt have brains
Tanker identifies as a Yacht.
hahahahaha lol
Taking a yacht to a tanker fight never ends well.
Olympic nantucket lightship collision be like: 0:25
Okay I know that yacht should have looked under his sail and seen the tanker, but is it just me or was that tanker going way too fast for that amount of traffic
I'm sorry, but what idiots. Was there not situational awareness of this massive tanker?
The brakes on the ship must be defective
Charlie, would you mind speaking just a little slower and perhaps a bit clearer?
Thanks for this. Will do out best to improve.
"Give back my sail, damnit!"
on a pre-war Austin 7 you only want to see good oil pressure when the engine is cold, when warmed you want to see low pressure - the lubrication system is a splash-fed by two jets, if it has high pressure it means one or both jets are blocked, so bad news, when cold the oil is less viscous so will be higher. At tickover, if it is almost at zero, but rises when the throttle is blipped, then all is good. A nice car, shame that you did not record the work as that would have been interesting content!
Next time we will. Thanks for the comment.
One person on the yacht saw it coming and jumped overboard at 0:23
Moronic.
good luck to the one guy who jumped overboard in front of the tanker
Way to lose an expensive spinnaker
GROSS TONNAGE RULES...sailboat had right of way but....was almost DEAD right..... govern yourselves accordingly in these circumstances...sailboat should have given way.
Find me “gross tonnage rules” in the IRPCS… Unlikely you are a local lad. But if you check the local byelaws you will see there is a “precautionary zone” marked on all the charts both paper and electronic. And god bless the yacht racers who think it doesn’t apply to them, but is states that vessels over 150m in length shall be give a moving prohibited zone 1000 metres ahead of the vessel and 100 meters either side. So was the yacht skipper 1000 metres ahead of the supertanker?? No… hence he got nailed in the courts. Don’t rush to certain death to win the race…….
Similair to cyclists
Mighty is Righty! That is what I have learned in school this week while doing Powerboat Level 2.
you just can't fix stupid
That was no yacht.
Poor yacht
I'd it was painted something later than bright orange the might have seen that massive hunk of metal going along the marked shipping lane.
Need to put A.B S. on those tankers.!
it would be much more fun to see their boath getting under mega ship propeller
00:08 Epic pull back. 😮 That is a big'un.
Tanker was cheating by using its engine this is a sail race
people on bikes on narrow roads in new england... get the fuck out of the way
Some say, yield to the right. Tanker says, "tonnage rules!"
Let's hope the twat doesn't ever try to sail around the world. 😕
Was that Greta Thunberg's sailboat? That's the only thing which would make any sense to me. "How dare you spoil this sail, this is my childhood, I'm entitled to carry on!"
Who the fuck are the knutsens?
23 seconds, is that a crew member going over the side ??????
Ship happens!
We get ships interrupting our racing all the time. Sometimes works for you, sometimes against you. Either way you stay out of the f*****g way of it it!!!
We used to call them WAFIs.Wind Assisted F.....Idiots When I was at sea
Git out da way
Perhaps the tanker should of been even bigger so that every idiot could see it from miles away ! STUPID people beyond belief !
Yacht skipper dimwit insisting on his rights with no knowledge of his obligations or maybe just can't see Orange slab sided oil barge blotting out the sky.
100% the sailboat's fault.
I thinks it more a case of yacht attempts to ram super tanker.
I can just see Tarquin on the yacht bellowing “DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM, THIS IS MY FATHERS YACHT YOU KNOW, MOVE OUT OF MY WAY MINION I SAY................................OH BUGGER!”
In sail school they teached the skipper, that bigger ships allways have to stop for smaller boats. 😂
